Psychomotor assessment (bilan psychomoteur) in Lebanon

A play-based assessment of how your child moves, plays, writes and manages big emotions, with a written report and a clear plan. In Jamhour (Baabda) and Achrafieh (Beirut), in Arabic, French or English.

How it works

  1. A first conversation

We talk about your child, your questions, their history and what the school has noticed. The easiest way to start is a free 15-minute call on WhatsApp.

  2. The assessment

Your child plays, moves, draws and writes while I observe and use tests suited to their age. Most children experience it as play.

  3. The written report

You receive a written report that describes strengths, difficulties and recommendations.

  4. The feedback meeting

We go through the results together, agree on what helps at home and at school, and decide together whether sessions would help.

When families ask for one

Most families come because something has been on their mind for a while, or because the school suggested it.

  • The school or nursery asks for a bilan psychomoteur
  • Your child often falls, bumps into things or avoids sports and the playground
  • Handwriting is slow, hard to read or tiring
  • It is hard to sit still, focus or follow instructions
  • Big emotions, and it takes a long time to calm down
  • Dressing, cutting or eating alone is harder than for children the same age
  • You simply want to understand your child better

What the report covers

The written report describes your child's strengths and the areas that need support, in clear words you can share with the school.

  • Gross motor skills: balance, coordination, posture
  • Fine motor skills and handwriting
  • Body awareness and finding their way in space
  • Attention and emotional regulation
  • Practical recommendations for home and school

Good to know

A psychomotor assessment describes your child's profile. It is not a medical diagnosis: a diagnosis of autism, ADHD or dyspraxia is made by a doctor. If a medical opinion would help, I will tell you and suggest who to see.

Assessments are also available for teens and adults.

Questions about the assessment

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

No. Many families contact me directly, and some are referred by their paediatrician or school.

Can I share the report with my child's school?

Yes. The report is yours, and with your agreement I can also talk with the teacher or the school's support team.

Which languages do you work in?

Arabic, French and English, and often a mix of the three, like most Lebanese families.

Where does the assessment take place?

In clinic, at Be-Right in Jamhour (Baabda) or at Private Care Clinic in Achrafieh (Beirut). Online sessions are for parent coaching only.

Not sure if your child needs an assessment?

Send me a message on WhatsApp. A free 15-minute call is often enough to know whether an assessment makes sense, or I can send you my free guide first.
