Psychomotor therapy for adults and seniors

Body-based support for adults and older adults: relaxation and body awareness for everyday stress, balance and confidence for seniors, and follow-up after a stroke or with Parkinson's, always alongside your doctors.

For adults: relaxation and body awareness

Breathing, relaxation and body-awareness work to help you manage everyday stress and tension and feel at home in your body again. Research shows that regular breathing and relaxation practice brings modest reductions in stress for many people.

This is body-based support, not psychotherapy. If anxiety or low mood feels heavy or lasts, I will work alongside your doctor or psychologist, or help you find one.

For seniors: balance and confidence

Fear of falling often makes people move less, and moving less makes balance worse. Balance is a skill that can be trained at any age.

International guidelines recommend balance and strength exercise at least three times a week for at least 12 weeks; in studies, this reduced falls by about a quarter. Balance sessions follow this approach, with practice at home between sessions and your doctor's agreement.

After a stroke, or living with Parkinson's

Alongside physiotherapy, I work on daily gestures, body awareness and confidence. With Parkinson's, regular movement, rhythm and balance work help, and keeping going matters more than the type of exercise. Always with your neurologist and physiotherapist in the loop.

For families and carers

Caring for a parent with memory changes or Parkinson's is tiring. I offer coaching for families and carers: daily routines, safe movement at home and calmer evenings, in person or online, including for family members living abroad.

Questions about sessions for adults and seniors

Do I need a referral?

Not for relaxation sessions. For balance sessions and follow-up after a stroke or with Parkinson's, I ask for your doctor's agreement.

Is this psychotherapy?

No. It is body-based support. For moderate or severe anxiety or depression, a psychologist or psychiatrist is the right first step, and I can work alongside them.

Can sessions be online?

Relaxation sessions and coaching for carers can be online. Balance sessions take place in person.

Which languages?

Arabic, French and English.
